CellMatrix Cell Generator

Creating cell structures

The cell generator gives you the capability of creating objects in a matrix layout (multiple cells above and / or beside each other). The starting point is always the lower left corner of the cell group.

1.Activate the function "Cell Generator".
2.Digitize the virtual baseline of the cells, optionally use the snap function to align the cells along an existing object.
3.Choose the cell library and the cell.
4.Enter the number of cells, the desired distance between the cells and the offsets.

In addition you have the following options:

Distribute cells horizontally:
Using this options the cells are automatically distributed along the baseline. Use the button "calculate" to calculate the horizontal distance between the cells.

Maintain Horizontal Offsets:
The left and right offsets are not considered in the calculation.

Combine Cells:

The cell matrix will be created as a combined object.

Restore Direction:

If you used the function "Calculate Angle" before using the cell generator, you can recall the stored direction using this option.

Example 1: Creating a parkway

Digitize the line along which you want to distribute cells:

Karte_Zellgenerator_1a

Enter the required settings:

Maske_Zellgenerator_2a

(based on the entries of the cell manager)

Maske_Zellgenerator_1a

Example 2: Creating a grid

Digitize the line along which you want to distribute cells:

Karte_Zellgenerator_1b

Enter the required settings:

Maske_Zellgenerator_2b

(based on the entries of the cell manager)
